About us

Neuro Physio Kent provides physiotherapy in your home setting and is based inside the M25, serving part of SE London and North Kent. See where we work.

Who we are

We are neurologically trained physiotherapists, this means we are specialists in the analysis and treatment of movement difficulties that result from damage or disease to the nerves of the body that cause symptoms such as weakness, stiffness, poor coordination or paralysis.

We are committed to helping you reach your full potential and improving your quality of life. Our approach is caring and professional with a wide breadth of experience from over twenty years in this field. This means that you can be confident that your treatment will be of the highest quality and help realise your potential.

Why us?

We believe in a patient centred approach so after a thorough assessment we discuss with you what your difficulties are and the goals that you want to achieve. This becomes the starting point for your treatment. We value the role that carers have with many of our clients and we are happy to work with your carers to ensure your improvement continues in between treatment sessions.

In addition we are pleased to be able to work alongside case managers, solicitors and insurance companies to support and promote the recovery of their clients in the community.

We are registered with the Health Professions Council which is a regulatory body for health professions ensuring that standards of training, professional skills and behaviour are met.

Lead Physiotherapist: Linda Jones

The practice is run by Linda Jones who specialises in Neurological and Vestibular Rehabilitation and is supported by:
  • Sue Wheeler a neurological physiotherapist and FES clinician.
  • Louise, our physiotherapy assistant, who helps some of our clients with their home exercise programme.
Linda trained at The Prince of Wales School of Physiotherapy, North London and qualified in 1984. She gained experience and interest in neurological rehabilitation while working as a junior at the Stroke Unit at Greenwich District Hospital, progressing to a senior position in neurological rehabilitation at Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup.

She has a wide and sound knowledge of working with people with neurological conditions, and maintains links with her local NHS peers, participating in their neuro in-service training and attending courses regularly. For over 15yrs she provided the physiotherapy service to the Peter Gidney Neuro Disability Centre; a young people's unit caring for the needs of those with long term conditions. Here she worked closely with the wheelchair services to provide seating solutions for those with complex postural needs as well as devising management programmes to help prevent the development of soft tissue and joint problems.

Linda is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP), the Health Professionals Council (HPC), The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Neurology (ACPIN), The Association of Chartered Physiotherapist interested in Vestibular Rehabilitation (ACPIVR) and also of the Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice (Physiofirst).
